Layers....Most
people say YUCKS and psp can control you if you let it. I find
that until you understand layers fully a little organizing puts
you in the drivers seat, not psp. This way is a lot less frustrating.
Open up
our image that we made that we called the image pallet.
Open up
the layer pallet toolbar. We are going to add 4 raster layers.
To do this....go
to "Layers" "New Raster Layer". Do this
4 times so you have a total of 4 layers.
Then highlight
the very bottom layer. Left click and click on "Rename".
Lable this "back"
Then rename
the layer that is just above it to read "basic rectangle"
Then rename
the layer just above that to read "top corner"
Then rename
the layer just above that to read "bottom right"
Then the
very top layer to read "bottom left"
Your layer
tool box should look like this when finished.

Now
we are ready to put together our images and create our template.
Layer
Back - Highlight the layer that we named back. Click on
the image and flood fill this with a "funky color"
Either a purple, blue or an unusual bright color. We do this
so we can see what we are doing. Don't worry we will delete
this layer at the end. This just helps us see what we are doing.
Layer
Basic Rectangle - Now open up our basic rectangle.
Go
to "Edit" "Copy".
Highlight
the basic pallet image and on the layer toolbar highlight the
"basic rectangle layer".
Highlight
the basic pallet image and go to "edit" "Paste
as a new section". The white rectangle with the red border
should be on this image. Center it as much as possible. Do you
have dancing ants? We love ants in psp but we don't need them
now. To shut them off. Go to "select" "select
none". No more ants.
Layer
Top Corner - Now we are going to add out top circle. Open
up the larger, original 2.125 x 2.125 circle that we made. Copy
it. Highlight the layer on the pallet image that says top corner.
Paste as a new selection. Place that circle on the top of our
bookmark.
So
far, so good.....I hope.
Layer
Bottom Right - Copy the smaller circle.....Highlight the
bottom right layer and paste as a new section. Put the circle
on the bottom right hand side. Select none.
Layer
Bottom Left - Copy the smaller circle.....Highlight the
bottom left layer and paste as a new section. Put the circle
on the bottom left hand side. Select none.
You
should have an image that looks something like this.....
